Objectives of the Electrical and Computer Engineering program at Addis Ababa University:

To train electrical and computer engineers;

To prepare graduates with the capability of following the current and future developments in the field and related applications;
To enable graduates work as a team in addressing technical problems which may be encountered in industry in real life;
To provide opportunity for workers in the field of electrical technology to upgrade their knowledge through a continuing education evening program;
To provide graduates with sufficient background to undertake postgraduate training in any of the various areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering;
To engage students in research that offers optimal solutions to technical problems in the industry, energy sector, telecommunications, computer applications and other industrial sectors;
To offer consultancy service to government, industry and society.

upon admission to the universities/Institutes of Technologies, students will join the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering based on the placement by the universities/Institutes of Technologies and the students’ interest for the discipline after completing the orientation semester.
Letter from the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA) for the certification of your educational documents. (The office of HERQA is found in Addis Ababa on the road which is leading to Shiro Meda in front of the American Embassy).

· Two copies of educational documents.

· Two passport size photograph.

· A letter from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia or from your embassy here in Ethiopia showing the reason for being here.

· Application fee: for Undergraduate Program 40USD, for Graduate Program 150USD
