Overview

The English Language and Literature programme at Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University carries on its activities by three assistant professors, a research assistant doctor and three research assistants.

Features

The teaching programme of the department of English Language and Literature includes many different kinds of lectures such as language skills, cultural studies, linguistics, language teaching, translation, drama, compulsory second language teaching, and American and English Literatures.

Our teaching programme adopts interdisciplinary and intercultural approach, and it provides our students to work on different fields by offering them different skills.

Programme Structure

The language of education at English Language and Literature programme is English, and for the students whose language skills are not sufficient, there is a compulsory preparatory class programme to acquire and develop their foreign language skills so as to continue their academic programs successfully.

The students who pass the exemption exam, which is taken to determine their language levels at the start of the academic year, are allowed to begin to study at the first grade directly.
