We will equip our graduates to be able to work effectively in contemporary educational contexts and will qualify graduates to work in primary and post-primary settings as SNAs with specialisms in Inclusive Practice.

This innovative Inclusive Practice for Special Needs Assistance course at the Atlantic Technological University is further designed to enable SNAs across primary and post-primary sectors to integrate Inclusive Practice into their working environments.

Competencies in areas such as inclusive practice are becoming increasingly important for schools to maintain a content and productive environment. This programme equips graduates to lead, integrate and promote inclusive practice as part of their SNA duties.

Graduate careers typically include roles such as Advisors on Inclusive Practice, Classroom Assistants, Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) in primary and post-primary settings, Social Care Workers, and positions in special schools and ASD classrooms.

Direct Entry applicants are required to have a Level 6 qualification in Special Needs Assistance and to be currently employed in either primary or post-primary sectors for a minimum of 2 academic years.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) will be considered. Applications accepted through the Advanced Entry Application process
