We will equip our graduates to be able to work effectively in contemporary educational contexts and will qualify graduates to work in primary and post-primary settings as SNAs with specialisms in Inclusive Practice.
This innovative Inclusive Practice for Special Needs Assistance course at the Atlantic Technological University is further designed to enable SNAs across primary and post-primary sectors to integrate Inclusive Practice into their working environments.
Competencies in areas such as inclusive practice are becoming increasingly important for schools to maintain a content and productive environment. This programme equips graduates to lead, integrate and promote inclusive practice as part of their SNA duties.

General requirements
The BSc Programme will be available to applicants who meet one of the following criteria:Year 1 entry routes:
- CAO entrants (Minimum Five O6/H7, English or Irish O6/H7, Maths O6/H7/F2)
- QQI Level 5 award, or equivalent qualification. Eligible through CAO QQI Application Processes.
- Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPL) will be granted based on relevant experience and training in accordance with LYIT's RPL policy.
- Mature students (23 years of age on 1st January preceding application) can apply.
