Overview

The graduate of the programme in Biochemistry and Biophysical Chemistry for Pharmaceutical Applications from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava prepares graduates to continue their studies or work in positions requiring a university degree. Despite the fact that the vast majority of successful graduates of bachelor's degree programmes implemented at FCHPT STU continue their engineering studies at the faculty, graduates of the bachelor's degree programme will also find employment in positions corresponding to the degree (SKKR 6).

Employability

Graduates are able to work in the following professions: employee in the production, storage and sale of various chemical, biochemical and pharmaceutical preparations, materials and chemicals, as well as at the position of operator of clinical devices in healthcare, pharmaceutical industry, also in production and processing of biofuels, in production of natural and synthetic biopolymers, in the field of waste recycling and the use of renewable resources, or the production of new products for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.

Understanding the physical principles of various analytical and diagnostic techniques also offers the graduate the position of operator of clinical devices in healthcare.

As for applicants who have achieved the required education abroad, the basic condition of admission is confirmation of passing a final examination, and documents confirming the achieved level of studies corresponding to the required level of education in line with paragraph.
