Program Learning Outcomes

Students at the Bachelor of Science Program in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Mahidol University will:

• Apply knowledge of medical sciences, engineering, prosthetic and orthotic sciences to professional practice.

• Demonstrate proficiency in conducting an appropriate examination, evaluation, and assessment of users across the individuals’ lifespan.

• Demonstrate competence in plan and following the individual prosthetic/orthotic service plans to achieve the standard of International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO standard).

• Optimise the use of appropriate equipment, materials, components and techniques in prosthetic/orthotic services.

• Demonstrate appropriately and accurately in providing education or useful information for users or any related persons.

• Demonstrate social and professional responsibility and ethical behaviours with virtue and the Professional Code of Ethics.

• Participate in the development of practice management skills in various settings

• Work effectively in an inter/intra-professional collaborative setting.

• Demonstrate proficiency in communication skills appropriately for a target group.

• Demonstrate appropriate competencies in research and evidence-based practice.

• Demonstrate in conducting a self-evaluation and reflecting the thought in an appropriate level.
