Overview
Social Work (Hons) offered by the University of Greater Manchester focuses on helping you learn to use your professional judgement and build relationships, both with the individuals and communities you serve as well as with colleagues from other professions and services.
You'll develop a sound knowledge of social work theory, models, legislation, policy, ethics and interventions that will underpin your professional decision-making. General requirements
- 120 UCAS points.
- Any subjects are acceptable at Level 3.
- You should also have at least five GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
- While you don’t need to have prior experience, some experience of working in a helping capacity would be an advantage.
- You’ll also need to demonstrate basic IT skills, including word processing, internet browsing and use of email.
