The Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture is a professional field that starts with the design phase, continues with the planning and implementation phases and ends with the management phase while considering the environment as a whole. The aim of the department is to create urban designs and landscape areas to increase the quality of life by protecting the link between human and environment. Today, with the increasing destruction of the natural balance, our basic principle is to create a livable and sustainable environment through innovative and user-oriented designs.

Urban Design and Landscape Architecture at Yeditepe University is aimed to create common living spaces for all living things by protecting ecological relations as well as cultural values. In the studies of the department, it is aimed to create functional, aesthetic and livable designs by combining the skills of architecture in the field of design in building issues and scientific principles in engineering under the title of urban planning.

The fields of study of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture include the planning and implementation of all private and public open spaces at different scales inside and outside the city. Urban parks, city squares, coastal arrangements, holiday villages, tourism areas, landscaping of residential areas, natural and cultural conservation areas are among the issues addressed within this framework.
