The subject matter of the department extends from the macro-level of social structures and interaction systems to the individual micro-sociological level. The Sociology Department at Yeditepe University aims to equip students with the ability to critique, objectively evaluate, and understand society. Additionally, it strives to cultivate individuals with a national vision and career orientation related to social and societal trends, who can apply their knowledge in various settings, contribute to society, and engage in effective national and international endeavors. The ultimate goal is to nurture competent and professional social scientists in their respective fields.
