Overview

During the Geography (Hons) course from University of Malta  you will learn concepts and theories ranging from populations, cartography, and biogeographic and oceanographic processes, to geology, degradation, human geography and Marine management, to name a few. 

By experiencing both the theoretical aspect of the subject matter and the practical side through fieldwork, you may be given the opportunity to carry out a research-based dissertation in your final year of studies, as you will be knowledgeable enough to conduct a research topic of your own choice. 

We also encourage you to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility programme for a multicultural and diversified learning experience.

• As a graduate of this course you will be employable in a number of careers, both locally or internationally, as a cartographer, social researcher, commercial surveyor, development surveyor, town planner, geographical information systems officer, nature conservation officer, and environmental consultant.
