Overview

During your Classics (Hons) course from University of Malta you will be able to have a basic understanding of the Greek and Latin languages and read key texts in their respective original languages. You will be able to understand the influence that this ancient world has had on our contemporary one, while also enriching your cultural and historic mindset by participating in interdisciplinary action.

Apart from demonstrating your academic knowledge on the subject matter by carrying out a research-based dissertation in your final year of the programme, you are also encouraged to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility period, for a multicultural and diversified learning experience.

Applicants must satisfy the General Entry Requirements for admission, namely, the Matriculation Certificate and Secondary Education Certificate passes at Grade 5 or better or at SEC Level 3 in Maltese, English Language and Mathematics.

Applicants wishing to join the part-time mode must submit their application as full-time, and then include a note in the comments box of the application form, denoting their preference to be considered for the part-time option. Such requests will be considered by the Board of the Faculty.
