The Department is the hub of policy thinking and research, as well as the academic mill and platform from which sound ideas, discourses and political constructs for nation-building emerge.

These, coupled with the fact that we run Political Science, Policy and Strategic Studies and International Relations, which are some of the flagship programmes in the University, make us a leading unit, which contributes in dynamic ways to the realization of the medium and term long-goals of the Covenant University.

General requirements

The minimum entry requirements for admission into the Department of Political Science and International Relations are credit level passes in five (5) subjects at the WASSCE/GCE, Pearson’s A-Levels/or its equivalent, obtained in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and other two subjects from Social Science or Arts
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
