Overview

The Applied Mathematics (Hons) Programme from Beijing Normal University - Hong Kong Baptist University United International College will fully utilise the university's advantages of internationalisation, and focus on the development of students' knowledge, ability and personality.

It will offer a broad training in core applied mathematics and give students a good foundation for future careers. The Programme also aims to offer opportunities to students wishing to pursue a postgraduate education or develop their applied mathematical skills in an area of particular relevance to the modern industrial context.

Specifically, the Programme is designed to

Give students a solid foundation in fundamental mathematics upon which to build their understanding of mathematical applications;

Provide a broad-based and yet deep education in applied mathematics, so as to enable them in applying their knowledge and skills to various related professions;

Well train students in computational thinking and the use of various computer software because computers are indispensable tools for solving mathematical problems;

and Teach students how to formulate appropriate mathematical models for solving real-life problems.

High school transcripts
Two letters of recommendation
Personal Statement
Copy of passport
Scholarship Application Form (if any)

After all the above materials are provided and the requirements are met, International Development Office will register the application for the applicant.
