This Nursing degree programme at Tampere University of Applied Sciences is aimed at those whose native language is other than Finnish, and it is conducted bilingually (English and Finnish). By the time of graduation, the goal is for you to have attained the language proficiency required for the profession and to be able to work in health care services in Finland, using the Finnish language. 

At the beginning, the language of instruction and study is English, and Finnish language will gradually take up more role. To be eligible for the study programme, you must have minimum of B2 level in the English language. There is no language proficiency requirement in Finnish language.

During the studies, the latest research and evidence-based nursing practices will be integrated with hands-on professional skills. The nursing education complies with the requirements of the European Union Directive (2013/55/EU) in the recognition of professional qualifications and is comparable to equivalent qualifications in EU countries. 

A Finnish Bachelor’s degree in Nursing enables employment in other EU countries. If a graduate wishes to work outside the EU/EEA area, they should check the country-specific eligibility requirements.  As a Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing you will have many work and further educational opportunities in Finland and abroad.
