Overview
The course of Theatre and Performance with Enterprise BA at University of Leeds, will explore the historical and cultural contexts of theatre, innovations in practice, performance design, arts management, cultural theory, performance technologies, composition and devising, and the wider impact of the creative and cultural industries.
This programme blends a focus on 20th and 21st century theatre and performance practices with modules on business development, finance and social enterprise, delivered by collaborative partners in the Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies.
In the final year you’ll apply your theoretical knowledge as a practitioner through an externally-facing project. By working in a small group or individually, you’ll manage and market student-led creative events in a community context or take on the role of consultant to a third sector enterprise.
