Overview
The Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology (Hons.) programme integrates minds-on theoretical foundations with hands-on practical applications. Students gain exposure to core areas such as electrical circuits, industrial control, instrumentation, renewable energy, power generation, transmission and distribution. Emphasis is also placed on constructing, testing and analysing electrical circuits and systems using up-to-date engineering tools.
Prior to graduation, students are required to undergo a 24-week industrial training attachment in a real working environment. This structured curriculum is designed to enhance both technical competencies and essential soft skills including communication, management, technopreneurship and professional practice.

Upon completion, BET Electrical degree holders may register as an Engineering Technologist and join the industrial workforce in many sectors such as:

Entry Requirements for Domestic Students
- Pass in STPM / Matriculation / Foundation or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least Grade C in Mathematics and one relevant Science subject; OR
- Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points; OR
- Pass in A-Level with a minimum Grade D in Mathematics and one (1) relevant Science subject; OR
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid and pass SPM or its equivalent with a minimum Grade C in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject (e.g. Physics, Chemistry).
Entry Requirements for International students:
- Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with minimum Grade C (60%) in Mathematics and one of the Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry or Biology – depending on the programme).
- IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
