Overview

At Architecture (Honours) from University Sains Malaysia with a broad-based interdisciplinary approach exposed to the students, it is expected that the students of the Architecture (Honours) Programme in the School of Housing, Building & Planning from University Sains Malaysia will become more knowledgeable, skillful and responsive to the needs of the built environment and its inhabitants. 

In addition to training future architects to be competent in exploring the design process and related skills vital to a professional architect, it also provides opportunities for students to plan and design various projects that touch on contemporary issues such as sustainability, special technologies, conservation, socio-culture or other areas of special interests.

What you'll study

All the studio projects planned for 3 years study which are arranged based on increasing complexity of project scale, building typology, technology, topography and site context that touch on wide architectural issues will enhance students ability in designing aesthetically high and functionally good buildings. An important element of the design is the energy efficient consideration as one of the objectives to produce future architects who are energy conscious, forward thinking and sensitive at exploring architecture design within an array of contemporary scenarios and styles.
