What you will study at the Bachelor of Laws LLB programme at University of Peradeniya

The Department of Law undergraduate curriculum has been designed in a manner that would achieve this objective. In the first year of their study, the undergraduate students would obtain an understanding on foundations of law and thereafter substantive areas of law would be covered in their second, third and fourth year of study. A special feature of the LL.B Degree program is providing practical training through courses such as Mooting and Clinical Legal Education. Thereby undergraduate students will not only have a thorough understanding about legal concepts and theories but would also be equipped with practical skills required for a professional career.
