1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) basic science stream.

2. Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced): Students securing a place in the rank list of Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to IITs.

3. State and Central boards: Students eligible for INSPIRE scholarship from Department of Science and Technology (DST) on the basis of their scores in class XII after clearing an aptitude test.

Reservation rules regarding General, OBC (Non Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PD candidates are considered as laid down by the Government of India (Central Education Institutions, Reservation in Admission Act, 2006).
