About

The research, teaching and learning at the Department of Sociology derive its inspiration from the history of Jamia Millia Islamia education project namely, that knowledge should be meaningful to student learners who have different rhythms of reading writing and learning, come from diverse cultural background, and are differently positioned in social stratification systems.
