Our employability modules enable you to explore sports coaching and sport related career pathways and engage in career development planning that prepares you for graduate-level employment in a competitive industry. As part of these employability modules you will reflect on the experiences and skills you have gained in order to articulate your readiness to work in the football and sport industry.
Placement modules are a leading feature of the course allowing you to gain hands-on experience and mentoring in an applied setting. These settings include the option to work with our partner clubs (e.g., Wolverhampton Wanders, West Bromwich Albion, Walsall FC, AFC Telford and our University team, WLV Sport FC. The skills gleaned from your experiences on placement will then be applied in the third year of your studies where you will have the opportunity to obtain experience in a professional environment of your choice.
These extensive work experiences will lead towards obtaining the University of Wolverhampton Enterprise & Employability Awards and will serve to support your future career planning. The University provides annual opportunities through its Career Development Week to obtain additional qualifications to support your employability. There are also further opportunities to follow National Governing Body Qualifications provided within and alongside the degree course to supplement your professional skills and career plans.

- Access to HE Diploma: (60 credits) of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 (48 UCAS point equivalence, minimum 45 credits at pass)
