Stellenbosch University's Sport Science (Kinder Kinetics) programme extends over one year on a full-time basis. 


Key facts

Stellenbosch University's Sport Science (Kinder Kinetics) programme is assessed flexibly and includes theoretical and practical assignments, as well as informal class tests and formal tests. All assessments contribute to the final mark for each module. You must obtain a class mark of 40% per module for admission to the written examination. To pass Professional Practice in Sport Science 773, you must complete 300 hours of practical work during the course of the year and obtain at least 50% in the two oral examinations, namely in the middle and at the end of the year. The final mark for each module consists of 50% of the examination mark and 50% of the class mark.

  • A bachelor’s degree with Sport Science as one of the majors that Senate has approved for this purpose.
  • You must apply in writing to be admitted to the programme by Senate, or the Executive Committee that acts on behalf of Senate.
  • An average final mark of at least 60% in Sport Science subjects (theory and practicals) during your undergraduate years.
