Psychology Abdullah Gül University (AGU)

Overview

The Psychology cours from Abdullah Gül University (AGU) adapts its eight main programme  objectives and nine basic skill acquisitions and learning outcomes to its entire programme based on this approach. These objectives include Knowledge Base Research Methods, Quantitative Literacy, Critical Thinking, Interaction, Communication Skills (Written & Oral), Information and Technology Literacy, and Values in Psychology. 

Having these objectives at its core foundations, the AGU Psychology department emphasises the skills and educational attainments for the students as not only deemed necessary by the Turkish Psychological Association (Türk Psikologlar Derne?i [TPD]) in its accreditation criteria but also required by the European Federation of Psychologists Associations (EFPA) and by other prestigious educational institutions. 

Key facts:

• There are three full-time faculty members and three research assistants in our department. Besides, three of our faculty, who are continuing their doctoral studies abroad as scholarship holders, will start to work actively in our department in the coming years. AGU Department of Psychology's undergraduate programme promises theoretical and applied education covering several sub-fields of psychology with its respected academic staff, unique programme design, physical facilities, various national and international cooperation partnerships, and research laboratories. In the following years, we also plan to open graduate programmes in several sub-fields of psychology.
