Overview
The Psychology cours from Abdullah Gül University (AGU) adapts its eight main programme objectives and nine basic skill acquisitions and learning outcomes to its entire programme based on this approach. These objectives include Knowledge Base Research Methods, Quantitative Literacy, Critical Thinking, Interaction, Communication Skills (Written & Oral), Information and Technology Literacy, and Values in Psychology.
Having these objectives at its core foundations, the AGU Psychology department emphasises the skills and educational attainments for the students as not only deemed necessary by the Turkish Psychological Association (Türk Psikologlar Derne?i [TPD]) in its accreditation criteria but also required by the European Federation of Psychologists Associations (EFPA) and by other prestigious educational institutions.
Key facts:
- There are three full-time faculty members and three research assistants in our department. Besides, three of our faculty, who are continuing their doctoral studies abroad as scholarship holders, will start to work actively in our department in the coming years. AGU Department of Psychology's undergraduate programme promises theoretical and applied education covering several sub-fields of psychology with its respected academic staff, unique programme design, physical facilities, various national and international cooperation partnerships, and research laboratories. In the following years, we also plan to open graduate programmes in several sub-fields of psychology.

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test): SAT-1 ONLY“Math” and “Evidence-based Reading and Writing” tests: A minimum of 1100 general points out of 1600 for both sectionscombined(SAT Essay not required)
American College Testing (ACT): A minimum of 24 points out of 36 in Composite including Maths and Science
Baccalaureate: A minimum score of 13 out of 20
- Additional certificates such as SAT or ACT, as well as the TOEFL iBT as proof of English proficiency are also strongly recommended to increase candidates' chances of acceptance.
