Overview

Computing is changing how we think about problems, and how we can solve them. Developments in data analysis, AI and robotics could have a profound impact in a whole range of fields, from healthcare to government and e-commerce.

This course will give you the computing knowledge to define and solve digital challenges, as well as the business insight needed to apply them where they can have the greatest impact.

You’ll be taught by experts from both the School of Computing and Kent Business School, learning about themes including software development, project management, human computer interaction and business ethics. You’ll also discover more about entrepreneurship, and how to build an idea into something that makes a difference.

You’ll work solo and in-groups, guided by experts in fields such as cyber security, Artificial Intelligence and programming languages. You’ll also learn to apply everything you learn, with hands-on assessments and projects guided by our global industry partners. You can also apply for a year in industry, and build your experience on a paid placement.

Today’s world needs people who can be analytical and entrepreneurial. Our graduates are equipped to solve problems in a variety of sectors, either at established companies or through their own ventures.
