Academics

At present, the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures at the Southwest University of Science and Technology has 136 academics, including 10 professors; 38 associate professors; 16 members of staff holding a PhD; 23 postgraduate supervisors; and over 50 members of staff who have studied abroad. Amongst these academics is a group of academic and technical experts and star teachers who have been rewarded for their outstanding contributions to study and research in Sichuan Provinces. Moreover, the school recruits 18part-time postgraduate supervisors and off-campus postgraduate supervisors, as well as more than 20 foreign experts and part-time professors.

The Business English programme is offered at the Southwest University of Science and Technology.

Programme Structure

The School is committed to welcoming international talent and seeks to remain open in outlook and operation. Well-known experts in relevant fields are therefore invited to give lectures throughout the year and cooperative relationships aimed at developing both teachers and students have been established with foreign universities and colleges in countries including (amongst others)the United States, Britain, Australia, Spain, Chile, Cuba, Japan and South Korea.
