The University of Jinan- School of Business was founded in 1965, and was established in December 2015 by merging the former School of Management, School of Economics and School of Hotel Management.

University of Jinan offers an undergraduate degree in International Trade and Economics - Taught in English.

Its predecessor was former Department of Industrial Management Engineering of Shandong Institute of Building Materials, former Department of Economic Management of Jinan United University, former Shandong Material School and former Department of Civil Affairs Jinan Civil Affairs School Administration Department.

The four major strategies of the International Trade and Economics program from University of Jinan adhere to the idea of running a school with the construction of a doctoral program, scientific research as a guide, teacher optimization as a key, talent training as a goal, and political ideology and cultural systems as a guarantee. "The new base of "Confucian Businessmen" and the "New Cradle of Golden Collars", which are well-known in the province and famous in China, have some influence in the international community.
