School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering, abbreviated as ASE, where the Flight Vehicle Design and Engineering program is taught, has distinct aeronautic and astronautic characteristics. ASE is dedicated to research and teaching the fundamental, prospective and engineering problem, as well as new concepts, new theory, new methods of general design, aerodynamics, structure, strength, flight dynamics, man-machine environment and control etc. of all kinds of aircraft in the atmosphere including airplane, helicopter and airship, near space vehicle and miniature aircraft.
