Overview

At the end of Year 1, if you obtain an average mark of (a) 65% or better in the Knowledge and Information Management area of study, and (b) 60% or better in all the study units of Year 1, then you will be eligible to proceed to the Honours programme. As a manager in knowledge and information, you will be responsible for the organisation, acquisition, documentation and handling of the body of information that a community or company shares. In your final year, you may have the opportunity to write a research-based dissertation to demonstrate your knowledge.

Careers

• As a graduate, you will be well-positioned to provide informed analysis, evaluation, and insight for various organisations aiming to leverage and maximise their knowledge and information assets and possibilities. 

• You will be prepared for professional careers as knowledge and information managers, records managers, information policy consultants and researchers, knowledge consultants, information specialists, archivists, curators, and librarians.

• Upon successfully graduating from this  Knowledge and Information Management and European and Global History programme at University of Malta , you will be employable in a number of fields related to the subject-matter, both local and abroad, such as an archivist, museum curator, historical consultant, researcher and as a Government historian. 

• If you are interested in furthering your studies, or are considering an academic profession, then we encourage you to enrol in one of our local post-graduate courses, as a number of our alumni have done so.
