Whether it is where we work, shop, live or spend our leisure time, our surroundings greatly influence our sense of well-being and it is the role of the interior designer to create healthy, functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces from conceptual development through to execution of the design.
Through this Bachelor of Interior Design in the UAE, you will receive an in-depth education that will help you develop the knowledge and creative skills necessary to add real value as an interior designer.
You will learn in this Bachelor of Interior Design degree to prepare a comprehensive program for an interior design project which will include an assessment of client and user needs and critical review of appropriate precedents. This will entail technical elements including inventory of space requirements, analysis of site conditions, and review of relevant safety provisions, codes, laws and standards, as well as creative elements such as integrating lighting, color schemes and furniture.
Career opportunities
Both private companies and public agencies seek interior designers for a variety of professional positions. Many work for engineering and architecture consulting firms or construction companies as interior designers and interior project managers. Graduates are equally prepared to pursue master’s and Ph.D. degrees in allied fields of architecture and design.

- Completed online application
- Copy of a valid passport (and residence visa if resident in the UAE)
- Original equivalency letter issued by the UAE Ministry of Education for a foreign curriculum
- Certified copy of official general secondary or high school certificate (or its equivalent)
- Passport-sized photo with white background
- A police clearance certificate ssued by any of the police departments located throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
- An official score report of Academic IELTS band (5.0), English EmSat (1100), TOEFL IBT (61), or CBT 173 or ITP 500 (ITP taken at AmidEast Institute only), Cambridge (154-161), IESOL/SESOL (B1/B2), Pearson PTE (36-41).
- Proof of Grade 12/Year 13 completion is required for students applying with IGCSE/GCSE subjects.
Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the high school where the student successfully completed Grade 12/Year 13.
