- The Sustainable Urban Development programme provides integrated, multidisciplinary teaching related to urban development and sustainability. It consists of three streams - Administrative Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology – which students select when applying.
- Technology students develop a broad theoretical basis for applying technological and engineering solutions to create sustainable built environments, and the foundational skills and knowledge to become a technology professional.
- Shared courses with students from other streams help you understand urban development from several perspectives, develop interdisciplinary thinking skills, and identify novel and constructive ways of solving complex problems.

You can apply for admission if you have completed or will complete one of the following qualifications
- the Finnish matriculation examination
- the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, the European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma, the Reifeprüfung (RP) diploma, the Deutsches Internationales Abitur (DIA) diploma, or the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE)
- vocational upper secondary qualifications, a vocational degree or a specialised vocational degree as referred to in the Finnish Vocational Education and Training Act (531/2017)
- foreign qualifications which in the awarding country confer eligibility to pursue an equivalent university degree
Or:
- you have been granted a study right for a university degree in Finland
- you hold a degree conferred by a Finnish higher education institution or a degree conferred by a foreign institution that is equivalent at least to a bachelor’s degree
