This (Hons) Sport - Coaching and Development course from Manchester Metropolitan University has been designed to build your knowledge in a broad range of areas, from coaching practice and techniques, to sport history, sociology and development. Study at Manchester Met and you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the sport landscape, exploring current issues and evaluating the relevant policies. We'll help you to gain a good understanding of sport-based interventions, while equipping you with the practical skills to be a coach and educator. You will also have the opportunity to spend an extra year expanding your horizons, working on a placement in industry.

A degree in Sports Coaching may also lead to a career with national governing bodies of sport, commercial companies and professional sports clubs, both nationally and internationally.
Graduates from this course could find employment in a variety of areas, such as international sports coaching, managing coaching programmes, developing coaching strategies, match analysis, personal training or even finding success as an entrepreneur after starting their own sports and leisure companies.
