Overview
Key facts
The Mechanical Engineering Department of Abdullah Gül University (AGU) is implementing a special education curriculum based on scientific-based theoretical and practical courses that are open to development, active learning-oriented and teamwork practices. In this way, students are prepared for global competition in the areas of research, innovation, community service and entrepreneurship in their careers.
The program specific to AGU Department of Mechanical Engineering, aims to develop the students' entrepreneurship, creativity, leadership, teamwork, scientific thinking and life-long learning skills, through the use of active learning methods at every stage of the education, and through the construction of disciplinary and interdisciplinary projects based on the student ideas and feedbacks.
Apart from the studies in traditional technical areas supported by active computer simulations and experimental research in various laboratories; to search for engineering solutions to global, economic, environmental and social problems, research and training activities are carried out in laboratories, which are established in both classical and new developing areas such as, Energy Systems, Fluid Mechanics, Design and Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Robotics, Vibration and Acoustics, Automotive Engineering, Composite Materials, Biomechanics, Renewable Energy, Battery Engineering, Sustainable Design and Production.
