Overview
The Liberal Arts and Humanities program from the Charles University in Prague offers high-quality education that enables you to gain knowledge in a wide range of academic fields - from social sciences such as cultural and social anthropology, sociology, or psychology to the study of languages, philosophy, history, gender, economics, or art.
Key Facts
In addition to the wide range of taught disciplines, students can gradually focus on a field(s) of their choice. The program is an ideal preparation for further post-Bachelor studies in humanities and social sciences.
The program's signature feature is a widely open study curriculum with only a few compulsory courses that enables you to pursue your individual interests and develop new abilities via interesting elective courses. Every student completes mandatory courses in the humanities and social sciences by successfully passing comprehensive exams relevant to each field. Additionally, students choose from an offer of elective courses and create their own unique curriculums that complement their skills and interests. By choosing the elective and optional courses during their studies, students can gradually specialize in specific academic fields and focus on their preferred topics.
Accreditation
The study program is accredited under the Czech Ministry of Education.
