Overview
The Bachelor of Social Science Guidance And Counselling (Honours) programme at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman aims to equip students with the comprehensive professional knowledge and skills for managing various psychological issues such as developmental challenges, behavioral difficulties, socioemotional distress and psychological stress from critical events and work.
Students will be trained to work towards improving people's psychological well-being and achieving their full potential.
Career Prospects
Graduates are expected to register with the Board of Counsellors Malaysia, and can seek employment in education, health, training, sports, welfare support, consultancy and public relations, human resource management and research.

- Admission to UTAR is on purely meritocratic basis. You are expected to satisfy the academic qualification and English Language requirement set by the University.
- For admission into undergraduate programmes, the University will accept the applications from students with the standard list of foreign qualifications.
- For your information that the University has its minimum entry requirement (MER) for each qualification and each programme. Should you do not fulfill the MER, you will be required to undertake a one-year Foundation studies.
