About

You will develop your knowledge and understanding of the various functional areas of business, including management, marketing, human resources, finance and operations management within a global context. You will also be equipped with the skills required to be successful in business, such as entrepreneurship, digital literacy, collaborative working and communication skills.

Having completed this BA in Business Management (Hons) at University of Wolverhampton, you will be able to effectively apply a range of management and business theories and practices in an entrepreneurial and innovative manner.

All students have the opportunity to take an optional placement year which provides valuable workplace experience and significantly improves your employability on graduation. In addition, during your studies you will have the opportunity to meet with business practitioners through guest lectures and other special events.

Careers

On completing the course, you will be equipped with the background for a wide variety of positions in business. You will have developed skills and background knowledge needed for a wide variety of business areas, and learned the fundamentals of the various functional areas of business, including management, marketing, human resources, finance, including operations and management systems.

Whilst many of these careers are open to graduates in any subject, some employers may specify, or give preference to graduates in business-related subjects. A career in business is varied and can involve the functions such as management and marketing and there is an increasing need for business management skills in government, international commerce, health care, and non-profit organisations. Careers as entry-level manager, Human Resources specialist, Assistant Product Manager, Business Analyst, Market Researcher are some of the possibilities.

  • 'A' Levels at grade BBC - CCC
  • BTEC QCF Extended Diploma grade MMM, BTEC QCF Diploma grade DD
  • Access to HE Diploma full award (Pass of 60 credits - of which a minimum of 45 credits must be at level 3 including 18 at Merit or Distinction).
  • AAT Level 3 Accounting
  • Students must have studied a minimum of two years post GCSE level. However, it is expected that some applicants will be mature students with work experience, who wish to further their career development.
