Overview

We aim to instill not just a theoretical knowledge of engineering science, but also a solid base of practical skills, an understanding of design, comprehension of the commercial world and competence in transferable skills (problem solving, team working, creativity and IT).

The degree also provides an excellent route for individuals wishing to proceed to postgraduate education as quickly as possible.

Years 1 and 2 of this course are common with those of the MEng in Aerospace Engineering. Subject to satisfactory performance, it is possible for you to transfer to one of our MEng courses.

Graduates are equipped to enter the global aerospace and defence industries, or continue on to postgraduate study. The enormous range of career opportunities reflects the diverse and multidisciplinary nature of the aerospace sector. Acquiring high levels of attainment in transferable skills such as simulation, problem solving, design, management and modelling enables graduates to adapt to new challenges and offers broad insight into engineering solutions.

Accreditation

All our Aerospace Engineering degrees are fully accredited - Chartered Engineer CEng is the highest professional qualification for engineers. It is recognised internationally and renders you eligible for the European Ingenieur (Eurling) qualification.

A-level

We require three A levels with overall grades of AAA in Mathematics and Physics and one other subject. We accept all subjects as the third A level, apart from General Studies.Please note that if students are taking the newly reformed Physics A level, we will require them to pass the practical assessment included in the A level.

Five A-C Grades, including English Language, Maths and Physics or Dual Science (We require Grade 4 or above for applicants holding newly reformed GCSEs in England)
