Overview
The Sport Management (Hons) course at Solent University aligns with the Professional Standards to achieve CIMSPA’s Aspiring Manager (Leisure Operations) accreditation, enabling the development of work ready graduates.
You’ll study a combination of management topics including marketing, business start-up, human resources as well as event organisation, sport governance, social and cultural issues, health and safety and contemporary and global trends to develop a thorough and critical understanding of sport industry issues and theory.

Studying a sport management degree could lead to careers in stadium management, sport and adventure tourism, entertainment and sport centre management, football agency management, or sponsorship and marketing.
This course draws on Solent's heritage and staff expertise in sport, football and outdoor adventure management to offer a course that will develop work ready graduates with real world experience through connections with industry.
The course aims to develop graduates that are flexible and adaptable with thorough understanding of management and strategy and enables students to apply this to the sports areas that interest them most.

- 104-120 UCAS tariff points
- A minimum of two completed A-levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM or BTEC Diploma at D*D, a T-Level Merit, or equivalent qualification, or a combination of qualifications which comply with the minimum entry requirement of 104 UCAS points.
- All students will be required to undertake a criminal convictions check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
