This Architecture (Part 1 ARB-RIBA) (Hons) course at Arts University Bournemouth is the first step towards becoming a creative architect. This degree will help you to prepare for professional practice.

Programme Structure
- In your first year, you'll gain a sound conceptual knowledge and skill base for the study of the subject.
- In your second year, you’ll explore issues around building in an urban context and future scenarios for architecture. You’ll propose innovative and thoughtful interventions and urban spaces to house public activities associated with the economic, sustainable and physical opportunities of the area.
- Your third year begins with experimentation through design and research by making. You’ll further explore the ways that these ideas can inform architecture.

- GCE A Levels – BBB at A Level excluding General Studies, or 120 UCAS Tariff points
- Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Pass
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Distinction* Distinction*
- BTEC/OCR Extended Diploma at Distinction, Merit, Merit
- RSL/UAL Diploma – must be combined with other Level 3 qualifications equivalent to 112-120 UCAS Tariff points
- RSL/ UAL Extended Diploma at Merit
- A combination of BTEC Subsidiary Diploma and A Levels – equivalent to 120 UCAS Tariff points
- Three BTEC Subsidiary Diploma passes at Grade Merit
- Scottish Highers – five passes at Grade C or above
