At the Robert Gordon University studying the BA Social Work (Hons) is internationally-recognised and will prepare you for practice in all areas of social work, including child care and protection, criminal justice, community, and group care; through which you’ll make a positive difference in peoples’ lives.
We’re the largest provider of social work education in Scotland, which we’ve delivered for more than 50 years. We have a reputation for the high-quality teaching, as well as the high-level of employment achieved by our graduates.
Job Prospects
Graduates find employment across the social work sector. Our students have been in great demand throughout the UK, and 95% are in work or study six months after finishing the course (Unistats, 2018). The international focus of the course also provides employment possibilities in a range of European countries, the USA and Australia. Our graduates have also found employment in criminal justice, child care/child protection as well as roles working with people with mental health issues, substance misuse problems, physical disabilities or old age.
