The Dental Hygiene program offered by Danube Private University (DPU) offers graduates an excellent foundation to shape a modern, success-oriented dental practice according to the state of the art and to make themselves indispensable to their dentists and patients.
Careers
Upon successfully completing the university programme, graduates are able to exercise the highly qualified tasks of a dental hygienist with the Bachelor in Dental Hygiene degree within the framework of the respective statutory regulations. In addition to working at dental practices or other clinical dentistry institutions, such as university dental clinics, in accordance with the respective statutory regulations of the individual countries, the degree also qualifies graduates to work in many other areas, e.g. teaching, research, administration, public healthcare services or the dental industry.

General requirements
- Preliminary application form
- Curriculum vitae with passport photo
- Certificate of completed training programme as a dental assistant/prophylactic assistant (or comparable qualification, e.g. ZMF in Austria)
- Proof of at least three years experience in this profession
- Certified copy of the secondary-school leaving certificate
- Students must be in possession of a “General University Entrance Qualification”, a “European general university entrance qualification” or an “equivalent qualification”.
- All applicants without a university entrance qualification are invited to a university entrance exam at the Danube Private University. The entrance exam consists of the composition of an essay on the subject, a written single-choice exam in chemistry, biology and psychology, and an interview of the candidate by members of the examination board on a field of dental medicine assistance.
