Career opportunities
The purpose of the Teaching Italian course at the University for Foreigners of Siena is to direct the student towards teaching Italian as a second language in Italy and abroad and towards the pursuit of activities for the promotion and diffusion of the Italian language and culture, including the management of relevant linguistic and cultural issues faced by immigrants in Italy; towards the teaching of liberal arts and literature in secondary education, towards the completion of a post-graduate degree course.
Objectives
- good knowledge of at least one European language
- competences of basic information technology techniques and fundamental tools related to the field of liberal arts, with particular reference to e-resources that facilitate the study and teaching of Italian language and culture.

Students can choose between two curricula:
- Teaching Italian language and culture to foreign students
- Competences in History and Literature for the Italian school
