About the Programme
The Business Information Technology programme at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences offers the students courses on the most interesting areas of current IT education.
The IT specialization areas you can choose as your major and/or minor studies are:
- Software Development: includes programming on different languages such as Java, Javascript, Python; Web and Mobile development; Database development and management; front-end and back-end development.
- Business IT Solutions: includes Enterprise Systems such as ERP, CRM and SAP; Business intelligence; Applied AI; ICT management; ICT project management.
- Digital Services: includes service design and innovation; customer experience; prototyping tools for software applications; user interfaces.
- ICT Infrastructures and Cloud Services: includes data networks; data security; cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS; Python programming; Linux and Windows servers.
In addition, studies typically include content and practical application arranged in co-operation with partnering IT and other companies. This collaboration with both local and international companies is an integral part of the programme and enables students to learn the skills and acquire the experience to work in multicultural teams and on multinational projects.

- Official (signed and stamped) certificate of resignation of studies leading to a University of Applied Sciences degree (applies to applicants who are applying with an incomplete degree and to applicants who have a valid study right in a University of Applied Sciences during the application period)
- Copy of passport or personal identity card (applies to citizens of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland, for exemption from paying tuition fees)
- Copy of certificate of a pending application from the Finnish Immigration Service and copy of passport or personal identity card (applies to UK citizens whose right of residence in Finland is based on the withdrawal agreement, for exemption from paying tuition fees)
- Copy of residence permit card / residence card / EU Blue Card (for exemption from paying tuition fees; see detailed information).
