The main objective of the Telecommunicatios Network Engineering Degree is to train multi-skilled, flexible, creative and competitive professionals, able to conceive and design, manage and operate multimedia networks, protocols and services, to co-operate with professionals working in related technologies.



The studies program offers a firmly-grounded, practical and multidisciplinary training -which includes the convergent technologies in telematics and computer science in the wide field of information and communication technologies-, and is oriented towards a more focused profile on audiovisual media, which includes disciplines such as signal theory, multimedia communications, databases and data mining.

The Telecommunicatios Network Engineering Degree is structured in two areas: first, it provides basic and sound training in telecommunications engineering and telematics for a subsequent professional career and second, it focuses on digital communication, an aspect which is broadened with the opportunity to take optional tracks focusing on audiovisual systems, software engineering and business management and innovation.

The aim is therefore to provide firmly-grounded training, with innovations, and training applied to new telematic services, multimedia content and digital audiovisuals. The interdisciplinary environment, the relationship with business and the international and research dimensions are essential features of this course.


The programme's curriculum includes compulsory internships, which are to be undertaken from the third year of the course.

The ESUP formalizes, every course, around 200 agreements with enterprises, research groups and other organizations of the TIC field such as: Atos Spain, Deloitte, Everis, Keonn, Fundació ESADE, APFUTURA, Mobile Media Content, Telefónica I+D, Roche, etc.

Academic Requirements

  • Obtain the credential for admission to Spanish universities. To do this, students must submit a specific application for the generic credential for admission to Spanish universities to the Spanish National Distance Education University (UNED), which will then verify that they meet the aforementioned admission requirements. This credential will be valid for the purposes of admission and enrolment.
  • Submit the university entrance application.
  • Obtain official recognition of your secondary school studies. In order to enrol at a Catalan university, applicants must first obtain official recognition of their secondary school studies.
