Mission Statement

To achieve our mission in line with the Strategic Plan objectives of our university, the Molecular Biology and Genetics Undergraduate Program engages in creating a synergy in the field of Molecular Biology and Genetics in research, education, and training activities at the national and international levels. The Molecular Biology and Genetics program aims to create contemporary educational and research infrastructure and to employ competent academic staff. Also, the program always tries to take advantage of up-to-date educational technologies, teaching approaches, innovative software, current course materials.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Molecular Biology and Genetics program at METU Middle East Technical University is to be a national pioneer and be internationally recognized in the context of contemporary research by prioritizing community service.

Program Educational Objectives

Graduates of the Molecular Biology and Genetics Undergraduate Program have a successful career in research and education at universities and research center as well as a career in biotechnology, agriculture, forestry, food and pharmaceutical industry, environmental, and public health.

General requirements

The photograph should be 4.5x6 cm. in size, colored, and taken in the last 6 months to enable the applicant to be clearly recognized.
Candidates with passports need to upload the page of their passports with the identification information/ identification page of their passports, without having to get any approval.
The original high school diploma and its translation (Turkish or English) need to be uploaded.
An Equivalence Letter from the Ministry of Education of Türkiye or from Turkish Embassies which certify that the diploma is equivalent to a Turkish High School Diploma is not required for the application.
Applicants need to submit an official transcript of high school courses and grades sealed and approved by their high-school administration.
The exam result to be used in the application (SAT, GCE, International Baccalaureate, etc.) needs to be uploaded.
