At this Physiotherapy (Hons) programme at Glasgow Caledonian University you will develop a scientific outlook and deal with patients in a variety of settings; from neuro rehabilitation to musculoskeletal to respiratory care and industry.

Key facts:

To develop the skills required in physiotherapy, you will practise on other students in your class. Your learning is also supported by visiting the clinical simulation lab, field trips, practice education placements and e-learning. You will also gain experience in an elective placement in the UK or abroad.

Students undertake at least 1000 hours of supervised practice placement experience throughout the Physiotherapy (Hons) programme at Glasgow Caledonian University . This comprises seven placements of 4 consecutive weeks, except for the first placement which is 3 weeks in duration.

General Requirements

Year 1

  • SQA Higher: AABBB including English and two Sciences. A third science must be achieved at a minimum of B at National 5.
  • A Level: AAB including one Science. English and two further Sciences must be achieved at a minimum of either B in GCSE, BB in GCSE Dual Award or B at AS Level. 
  • ILC Higher: H1 H2 H2 H3 H3 including English at ILC Honours level and 3 Sciences with at least 2 being at ILC Honours level.
  • IB Diploma: A score of 32 points overall with 6 points in Biology.
