Overview

Specialists in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at University of Madeira are capable of the analysis, specification, design, industrialization, marketing and use of products supported by information technology.

With this in mind, the degree syllabus places emphasis on practical laboratorial experience, propelling design and production capabilities, allied to a solid theoretical training in supporting scientific subjects such as mathematics and physics.

Career

Graduates of this degree will be able to carry out duties related to the planning of systems or projects, in telecommunications, data networks (analogue and digital) and digital signal processing or technical duties about the implementation and maintenance of information systems.

Other opportunities exist in promoting research and technological development applied to telecommunication systems and computer networks as well as carrying out duties in the area of the production and distribution of energy, as well as in robotics and computing.
