Overview
Your studies will combine academic study and occupational competence and the course is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Students study a total of eighteen modules over the normal four-year duration of the full time course. Six modules are studied at each of Levels 4, 5 and 6.
Career progression
The Veterinary Nursing programme at Warwickshire College can be the means to 'unlock the door' to a range of career opportunities such as veterinary nurse, veterinary practice manager, veterinary lecturer, or to a related career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Progression to post-graduate qualifications include MBA, MSc and teaching courses such as PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) and CertEd (Certificate in Education).

General requirements
- Applicants will be expected to have at least 104 UCAS points which may be derived from a Level 3 qualification in a related subject or A Levels including one Science subject, ideally Biology.
- Applicants will also need five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English Language, Science and Mathematics to fulfil the entry requirements.
- Prior to commencing the course, applicants must have completed in total, two weeks recent work experience in a RCVS registered small animal practice.
