Applicants will be expected to have a Level 3 qualification in Counselling Skills OR Level 2 in Counselling/Listening Skills AND alternative Level 3 qualification.

Transferable skills and experience will be considered.

Alternative qualifications will be considered on an individual basis, provided that the applicant can also evidence understanding and basic competence in the use of listening/counselling skills. In addition to qualifications/training requirements and due to the nature of the learning experience, applicants are also required to evidence readiness to undertake counselling/psychotherapy training.

A robust reference confirming academic and psychological readiness is required prior to interview and readiness will also be assessed at interview. Ideally the reference will be supplied by a training tutor or employer.
