Overview

The Animal Behaviour and Training programme at Warwickshire College will develop your knowledge and skills in animal behaviour and ethology, whilst exploring the ethics and key legislation necessary for anyone working with animals.

This course is validated in partnership with Coventry University.

Career progression

Our graduates have entered professions including animal trainer, companion animal behaviour therapist, behavioural researcher, animal welfare scientists and officers, zoo-keeper, animal rehabilitation, re-homing, education officer and teaching.

There is also the opportunity to continue studying at degree and Masters Level.

Entry requirements are for guidance only. We welcome students with equivalent qualifications and combinations. Please contact us to discuss further.

Applicants will be expected to have at least 104 UCAS points which may be derived from a Level 3 qualification in a related subject or A Levels, ideally including one Science subject.

Applicants will also need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or equivalent) including English Language, Science and Mathematics. Applicants will normally be expected to have some prior practical experience

The college would consider applications from mature students with relevant work experience who may not have related formal academic qualifications.
