General Remarks
The program’s Psychology of the University of New York Tirana objective is to equip students with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and practical experience across various domains of Psychology, encompassing human development, social and cognitive psychology, abnormal and clinical psychology, as well as personality and psychological testing in a research-oriented approach. Taught in English, the program boasts an outstanding teaching faculty comprising accomplished academicians who not only serve as educators but also share their insights from their professional experiences as licensed psychologists.
Upon successful completion of the Psychology program of the University of New York Tirana students will be able to:
- demonstrate in-depth knowledge about the understanding and the explanation of the human behaviour, thoughts and feelings.
- demonstrate familiarity with empirical findings of various psychological phenomena.
- demonstrate a good knowledge of various psychological theories that study human personality, by pointing out contributions and limitations for each.
- demonstrate knowledge of the physical, emotional, cognitive and personality changes that occur during each developmental stage of the individual’s lifespan.
- demonstrate an understanding of the principles of human learning, memory, thinking, judgement and problem solving.
- demonstrate an understanding and an evaluation of psychological research and psychological writings.
- demonstrate an understanding and differentiation of major psychological disorders, diagnosis and treatment.
- demonstrate an understanding of the role of heredity and environment in producing changes in physical, intellectual and social behaviour throughout life.

- Original copies of High School Diploma and Transcript, or photocopies legalized by the Regional Educational Directory and the Ministry of Education and Sport
- If degree was obtained out of the Republic of Albania it must go through the diploma recognition process at the Ministry of Education and Sport
- Notarized Copies of Bachelor’s (University) diploma and transcript (translated in English)
- If degree was obtained out of the Republic of Albania it must go through the diploma recognition process at the Ministry of Education and Sport
- One certified copy of passport or of other identification document
- Two letters of recommendation (in English)
- CV (in English)
- Four photos (passport size)
- A paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or above (or its equivalent).
