Overview
Key Features
Students study what ‘education’ and ‘learning’ are. In other words, following questions are explored; “what is the best education and learning and the relationship between these and us?” Pedagogy and andragogy are the fields of social science that uses various academic methods to answer these questions but also studies with its own power.
It is the goal to exercise international academic and practical leadership by developing the ability to understand the overall horizons of education in the undergraduate course and researching each major area of education through graduate courses. The department trains such education experts.
Based on the expertise cultivated by the Department of Education, graduates of the Education from Seoul National University are employed by the government, national research institutes, public institutions including universities and schools and enterprises, contributing directly and indirectly to various educational fields, both at Korea and abroad.
